Energy Conservation in Government Agencies and Schools

Our school cooperated with the government to implement the "Government Agency and School Energy Conservation Action Plan" (plan period: 2020-2023) in phases. The plan took 2015 as the base period to increase the overall power consumption efficiency by 10% in 2023. As of 2020 the annual total electricity consumption had decreased by approximately 9.33% compared with 2015, and the CO2 reduction was 1,492,800kg [2,915,127 degrees (the total annual electricity consumption reduction as of 2019 based on 2015) * 0.509 (electricity emission factor in 2018: kg CO2/degree)].

Crisis Management Mechanism for Climate Action (local)

To promote UN SDG 13 goal for,Participate in co-operative planning for climate change disasters, working with government, National Chung University has implemented the following policy.

The University has set up the "TaskCampus Disaster Management Committee," planning and implementing the prevention and control of campus hazards on weekdays, including promoting preventive education courses and promotional activities and campus environmental safety measures.

No Plastic for Climate Action

To promote UN SDG 13 goal for,Inform and support local or regional government in local climate change disaster or risk early warning and monitoring, National Chung University has implemented the following policy.

The "plastic-free guest, "launched by a student club concerned about environmental issues at Chung Cheng University, hopes to promote the concept of non-plastic activities simultaneously as governmental policy, to reduce the number of times students use disposable plastic products.
