Energy Conservation in Government Agencies and Schools
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">Our school cooperated with the government to implement the "Government Agency and School Energy Conservation Action Plan" (plan period: 2020-2023) in phases. The plan took 2015 as the base period to increase the overall power consumption efficiency by 10% in 2023. As of 2020 the annual total electricity consumption had decreased by approximately 9.33% compared with 2015, and the CO2 reduction was 1,492,800kg [2,915,127 degrees (the total annual electricity consumption reduction as of 2019 based on 2015) * 0.509 (electricity emission factor in 2018: kg CO2/degree)].</span></p>

CCU Vision Development
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">After developing and growing up for 30 years, our school has become a comprehensive university in the south and central region with research and teaching together, also owns the compatibility of technology and humanity. The Developing projects of the medium stage from 107 to 110 continuously follow the university motto” To innovate with earnestness; be virtuous with altruism!” And in the short stage, it aims to develop regional innovation, cross-disciplinary integration, global cooperation, and diverse features and strive for national items. With the developing projects, our school hopes to become a key domestic University with distinction in a short stage and achieve the goal of being the most influential one in Asia in a medium stage and finally reaching the top global university in a long stage.</span><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">To implement the School Affairs Development objective, set up the medium core concept by upholding the spirit of foresight, balance, share, and utilizing the notion of the new generation, new conception, and new orientation. The school itself also conforms to the societal developmental trend of artificial intelligence and π-shaped personnel. Moreover, our school devotes to cultivating new generation youth who can adapt to the changing times and who are concerned about society, helping them build up cross-disciplinary cogitation, creative thinking, self-learning, and the ability to solve problems and interact connecting with the community. With the enhancement, the youth can show the compatible characteristic of humanity and technology and improve the nation’s competitiveness.</span></p>
The Employability Improvement for Disabled Students
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">CU Counseling Center aims to improve disabled students adaptation through counselling services. After the Ministry of Education passes the disability certification application, we can help students in many aspects, such as provide them with resources on academic, living, mental, career, and social adaptation. With students supporting service plans, the counsellors will track students conditions on interpersonal adaptation, school work guidance, emotion supporting, and career consultation.</span></p>
Service-Learning Course
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">“Social service-learning courses” enabled students to integrate interdisciplinary knowledge and professions of the groups through the service-learning courses, connecting community development and local culture while assisting the disadvantaged, and realizing the social responsibility of the teachers and students in the school. There were 43 crucial cooperative units off-campus in recent years, including the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum, Good Shepherd Social Welfare Foundation, Chiayi County Spinal Cord Injury Association, Shanglin community of Dalin township.</span></p>
Social Care
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">(1) Art Exhibition Promotion Activities : CCU Arts and Culture Center committed to creating high-quality Arts Experience Field for school teachers, students, and Yunlin-Chiayi region residents. By shows and exhibition activities (exhibitions, music, dance etc.), art seminars, film festivals, lectures, and workshops, can broaden the art horizon of teachers, students and residents in the neighbourhoods. By promoting art activities and linking them with local cultures, we hope to express social concern.</span><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">(2) Community Service and Interaction : For strengthening the interaction between the school and the societies as well as the connection with the local culture, the school has formed National Chung Cheng University Association. By exchanging rich academic resources with the local enterprises and the community, a great amount of social resources was collected. With the group of people who are not even the alumnus but care about school (SME owners and the elites from all kinds of businesses) push forward the development of school affairs and promot the industry-academia cooperation, making the community of our school become wider.</span></p>
USR Bamboo and Bamboo Charcoal Innovation-Sustainable Consumption and Production
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">Take the local bamboo industry as a local university social practice and industrial linkage, cultivating the social responsibility of interdisciplinary talents in the industry chain, and guiding the upgrading and transformation of the bamboo industry. Teaching research, talent cultivation, and internationalization combined with Sustainable Development Goals as the ladder actively creates a space for the soft power of Taiwan Bamboo Industry to be in line with international academics and industries. Use technology to upgrade the industrial output value application as the main axis and provide opportunities for student internship research and innovation. Motivate interdisciplinary students to combine different professions; upgrade industry and cultivate regional practical talents to achieve talent docking; and to lead students to recognize the goals of technicalization and Informatization, solving local issues and create industrial value.</span></p>
