According to statistics from the Yunlin County Government, the proportion of people aged 65 and above accounted for 19.1% of the country's total population, ranking second in the country. The county government signed a cooperation agreement with Chung Cheng University on the education of middle-aged and elderly people and the cultivation of knowledge and skills for retirement preparation, chose to build the "Qingyin Coexistence Base" at Jiutai Bus Station in Dounan, hoping to encourage young people to return to their hometowns and live together with the seniors. At present, 80% of the hardware and software facilities have been completed, and it is expected to start operation in May. County Mayor Zhang Lishan and Chung Cheng University Feng Zhanhua signed an MOU at the Yunlin County Government today, hoping that both parties will have more innovative solutions in the future and work together to help middle-aged and elderly people prepare for retirement.
