Taiwan's largest lighting dome reconstruction project site is located in the activity center of Chung Cheng University in Chiayi County. The total solar photovoltaic installation capacity reaches 200kWp, of which 100kWp is the roof distance type, and the other 100kWp is the lighting dome for BIPV modules. At that time, the lighting cover in the atrium of the activity center was damaged and could not be repaired. It happened that the Energy Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs was promoting photovoltaic buildings, and the school was also actively developing the application research of solar photovoltaic systems. Therefore, Ye Shizong cooperated with the school to take advantage of the reconstruction. The BIPV construction method is applied to the renovation of the daylighting cover. The newly built daylighting cover can not only collect sunlight and shelter from rain but also generate electricity.
