CCU's "Green Care" Team Creates Nostalgic Senior Course

The "Green Care" team, formed by the alumni of the graduate school of social welfare in CCU, YAN, YU-JIE, started with nostalgia therapy and designed a modular curriculum based on the life experiences of the elderly. In addition to art creation, the core of the program is to guide the elders to tell their life stories. The program has been successfully replicated in the towns of Xingang and Lioujiao and will be promoted to other communities in the future and create a more diversified community care service.
Mr. Yan emphasized that he saw many things in Chiayi that he had not seen before. He also learned to "empathize" and hoped to infect other young people with his own experience. In addition to accompanying the elders, he also offers social design workshops for young people to create opportunities to invite them to participate in community actions.
