College of Management and Fubon Investment Trust Cooperate to Cultivate Campus Asset Management Talents

To help young students understand the career outlook of asset management talents, the School of Management of CCU and Fubon Investment Trust jointly organized the "Campus Asset Management Talent Cultivation Program" for the first time. The program selects and recruits 20 students from the College of Management. The seeds of the asset management industry will be cultivated through a period of nearly two months and a total of 9 classes. The admission notice will be sent today (28th), hoping to help Taiwan's financial market and International integration, promoting the development of international asset management business, and adding value to the competitiveness of students' careers!

 

The organizer and Pei-Xuan Li, director of the Department of Finance, said that according to the information from the Financial Supervisory Commission, Taiwan’s financial market will face a shortage of asset management talents in the future and it is urgent to keep up with the pace of foreign countries, especially the ESG issue, which has been highly discussed recently in China. To start relevant promotions, asset managers need to have considerable international vision and sensitivity to changes in the general environment to assist investors in asset planning, target selection, and allocation, and reduce and diversify risks.

 

The "Campus Asset Management Talents Cultivation Program" has selected 20 students from 42 Department of Management students from the departments of finance, economics, and business management through the briefing session and selection and registration, and the admission notice will be sent out today. It expects to officially start on October 5 and conducts cross-university exchanges with students of Sun Yat-sen University and publish results.

 

Pei-Xuan Li pointed out that through the sharing of theory, practice, and career by professional managers of Fubon Investment Trust, there will also be group themes and simulation practice so that students can learn about ETF, stocks, bonds, product development, etc., and understand sustainable investment by doubt topic. In the course, students will further study investment management by constructing and reviewing investment portfolio logic through simulated manager exercises.

 

Fubon Investment Trust is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fubon Financial Holdings, with a management asset scale of NT$424.7 billion. It is not only one of the top five domestic investment trust companies but has repeatedly won many awards from professional institutions at home and abroad and has actively participated in the sustainable vision project. Li Peixuan said that she hopes that students will learn the professional knowledge of the asset management industry and understand the use of ESG to implement asset management strategies through the teaching of Fubon Investment and Investment Professionals. She also hopes to continue the cooperative relationship with Fubon Investment and Investment in the future to enhance the competitiveness of CCU students in the workplace.

 

Wen-Chang Lin, deputy dean of the Department of Management of CCU, said that students who are interested in the asset management industry are encouraged to take advantage of this training program and hope that with the assistance of the elite team of Fubon Investment Trust, students can learn the soft and hard skills needed in the workplace and contribute to the future.
