The use of intelligent robots is the main point of technology for Industry 4.0 and manufacturing upgrades. To cultivate professional and technical personnel in intelligent manufacturing and automation, National Chung Cheng University today (4th) and National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, and National Formosa University should be the leading manufacturer of server enclosures. At the invitation of Qincheng Xingye and PC-based controller manufacturer New Generation Technology, the cooperation plan of the "Intelligent Robot Industry-University Training Camp" was officially launched. The 6-week workshop allows students to integrate learning with practice and helps the industry to discover outstanding talents and deepen industry-government-university-research cooperation through research courses and project practice.
Today, under the witness of Pei-Dong Liu, deputy magistrate of Chiayi County, Zhan-Hua Feng, President of National Chung Cheng University, Neng-Shu Yang, President of National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Xin-Liang Zhang, President of National Formosa University, Mei-Qi Chen, Chairman of Qincheng Industrial, and You-Keng Tsai, Chairman of New Generation Technology jointly signed the "Smart Robot Production Learning Camp" cooperation letter of intent. A total of 9 teams participated in this workshop which 3 teams came from CCU. During the 6-week workshop, they will propose practical needs from the industry to develop competition solutions. In addition to the exclusive theoretical courses designed by professors from three universities, Qincheng Industrial also uses the new factory in Chiayi as the site of implementation. The new generation technology will link up with its subsidiaries to provide Lianda intelligent robot arm, positive platinum laser marking machine, etc. Also, they arrange for industry teachers to give lectures to assist the participating teams to carry out special projects.
The intelligent robot industry-university training camp proposes three practical scenarios: automation of casing production history printing and labeling, casing assembly and locking automation, and casing stamping and receiving automation. The student team operates the machine at the automated production line and assembly line operation site of the Qincheng Chiayi Factory. The arm performs the processing process, uploads the machine operation information to the cloud, and completes the competition acceptance. CCU stated that it will not only shorten the gap between students' learning and application but also hope to extend the practice competition mode of this topic into a long-term industry-university cooperation project in the future.
The training camp is expected to hold a results announcement meeting on August 13, 2022. One champion, three winners, and three excellent work teams will be selected.
