In addition to relying on the sky to eat, Taiwan's aquaculture industry is more worried about pathogen infection. The Research Center of Nano-biological Detection Technology of Chung Cheng University has developed the "real-time monitoring of pathogens in aquaculture pond water" technology for grouper aquaculture with high economic value in Chiayi County. As long as 0.1ml of pond water is dripped into the sensor chip, it will be confirmed within 20 minutes whether the pond water is infected with viruses. Wang Shaojun, director of the Center for Nano-Bio-Detection Technology at Chung Cheng University, said that currently the technology of biosensors has been transferred and commercialized by manufacturers. Chung Cheng’s research team is also continuing to research fish farms and is negotiating cooperation with institutions such as the Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
