Over the years, CCU as an important academic center in Chiayi has not only entered the local area in the fields of humanities and social sciences but also continued to link local manufacturers in the field of science and technology, assisting the development of the industry with its abundant scientific and technological research and development energy. CCU launched the "1236 Cross-Regional Industry-University-Research Integration Service Team" this year. On the 4th, President Zhan-Hua Feng led a delegation to visit Tianheng Machinery Co., Ltd. in Jiatai Industrial Zone. In addition to matching students for internships, they also sought Cooperation opportunities, looking forward to creating a new prosperity of industry-university cooperation with manufacturers.
Today, Zhan-Hua Feng, President of CCU, led a total of 17 people including Xiang-Chen Wang, director of research and development, Rong-Gui Zhang, deputy dean of the College of Engineering, professor Chun-Bao Guo, colleagues from the Technology Promotion Center of the R&D Department, and students from the Department of Machinery and Engineering to Jiatai Industrial Zone to visit Tianheng Machinery. Xiang-Chen Wang said that Tianheng Machinery which has a history of 40 years, specializes in the design and manufacture of chemical fiber, electronic technology, hardware parts, food processing, and other packaging machinery, as well as automatic packaging system equipment for the whole plant and has relevant automation and intelligent technologies. In addition to discussing further cooperation opportunities between the two parties, the students will conduct a one-month internship in the company after the visit.
Xiang-Chen Wang pointed out that CCU has mentored Jiatai, Minxiong, Dapumei, Puzi, Machohou, and other surrounding industrial zones, and even Tainan Xinying Industrial Zone for more than ten years, all of them have had pretty good results. In the past 8 years, the "Jiatai, Puzi, and Yizhu Industrial Zone Industrial Counseling Project" has been continuously implemented, mainly targeting industries such as machinery and chemical equipment, metal and plastic products, and food manufacturing. It is necessary to use this to match future industry-university cooperation.
In addition, the industry counseling plan also plans a "1236 cross-regional industry-university-research integration service team", which will establish a service platform, promote 2 technology alliances, link 3 industrial zones, and connect 6 colleges and universities for characteristic counseling. "National Chung Cheng University mentors manufacturers in industrial areas, not only in its research and development but also in surrounding schools." Xiang-Chen Wang said that universities such as WFU, YunTech, NFU, NCYU, and NHU are all team members. Manufacturers will be able to propose through the platform, such as patented technology, research and development results, industry-university cooperation, marketing management, and talent recruitment.
Impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic in recent years, the R&D Office of National Chung Cheng University has carried out a post-epidemic inventory key system and promoted alliances such as net-zero carbon emissions, and smart machinery, hoping to gradually achieve carbon footprint, carbon reduction, energy saving, and cost reduction with industrial parks and other goals to promote the upgrading and transformation of traditional industries.
