2019 National Chung Cheng University Social Responsibility and Sustainability Report Section 7.1.7 page 120-121 highlights the following event as Climate Action to achieve the SDGs. The school had cooperated with the government to implement the ""Government Agency and School Energy Conservation Operation Plan"" (2016 ~ 2019) and has continued to carry out related energy-saving projects to achieve the planned goals. In addition, the R506 classroom solar power demonstration teaching facility of our school joint classroom building, which was “the 1.5 kW solar power demonstration facility” was completed on October 7, 2019. The power generation data can be uploaded to the cloud data collector and integrated with various data such as wind and solar hybrid street light power generation data. The electricity generated by this device is converted into alternating current for the R506 classroom. Smart meters have been installed on May 29, 2020. The current consumption of the R506 classroom can be checked through the data integration platform. A smart meter was installed on May 29, 2020. The collected data would be used in general education courses related to energy conservation, such as sustainable development, sustainable green living, climate change adjustment and disaster prevention, basic adjustment of life support under climate change, or new opportunities for sustainable green energy, etc.

2019 National Chung University Social Responsibility and Sustainability Report page 18 highlight the following event as our Partnerships to achieve the SDGs.

This project is a Taiwan-Japan cooperation agreement with the Japanese Nara ELYSION Group. To set up its first demonstration base in Chiayi County within three years is the priority. A residential building for the elderly, a joint clinic, a senior learning base, a daycare center, a health care center, and an age-friendly product exhibiting area will all be included in one unit. Moreover, we aim to provide a solution to the long-term care issues for the elderly with the medical care experience from Japan and the teaching resource from CCU. And give the aged people to have a healthier and happier life.
