The theme-based core course training of the General Counseling Group was held on September 3, September 4, and September 25, with a total of 62 participants. The first class was about the secrets on the screen. Professor Guan Zhong-Xiang threw out a few familiar keywords to let the senior teachers express their thoughts on the keywords, and then asked everyone "Where do these impressions come from?", "Why do you have such an impression?" asking senior teachers to reflect on whether what they see and hear is "fact" or the result presented by the media, that is, "media representation." The second class explains the reasons for the formation of fake news through various cases of fake news, and also emphasizes that "if there are human beings, there will be fake news". Fake news may be caused by factors such as misunderstanding, gossip, purpose, and demand. The important thing is to learn to do more verification and self-examination, including: Is there a source? Is there a signature? When and where? Is it complete? Finally, remind yourself not to repost impulsively!
In the afternoon class, Professor Wei Huijuan and Professor Li Aici led the senior teachers on how to apply the knowledge of Teaching 123 to design media literacy. They tried to write a teaching design sheet on the spot and invited five students to come to the stage to share the teaching design and give feedback, encouraging media literacy education as the curriculum design of the theme can focus on the understanding of the concept of media literacy and the identification method of fake news. Teachers who use immersion courses as the teaching theme can further search for fake news in related fields. Using fake news cases for reading and identification can make the trainees more impressed. In the end, the trainees are reminded to use two weeks to design the teaching plan of the teaching course, and to understand the seniors and the trainees to deepen the course content.
September 25th is the communication stage. Combining the two levels of senior teachers to communicate together, 5 teachers are selected to teach media literacy courses. Each teacher will demonstrate for 20 minutes, and another 6 teachers will be selected to integrate media literacy education into For the teachers of their courses, including nutrition and diet courses, mobile phone teaching courses, elderly stereotypes, and other courses, each teacher will give a 10-minute teaching demonstration, and then the teachers will give feedback and suggestions. Professor Guan Zhongxiang reminded everyone again that the most important concept of media literacy is to "inclusively understand different viewpoints, and verify uncertain facts." He also encouraged everyone to master and understand the relationship between media and our lives; Professor Wei Huijuan and Professor Li Aici emphasized that effective course teaching needs to plan easy-to-understand and close-to-understand learning content based on the language and life situations that students understand. I will pay attention and be more willing to learn. In the future, I will encourage everyone to continue to study and learn to convey the correct concept of media literacy!
