Cai Shaozheng said that the renewal of the memorandum of understanding is a testament to the many years of cooperation between the two universities and continues to deepen the key to international cooperation between the two universities, and looks forward to more cooperation projects and exchange opportunities in the future, to further promote the academic development of the two universities and the internationalization of the progress of the two universities. Marut Tangwattanachuleeporn, on the other hand, said that the Oriental University attaches great importance to cooperation with the CCU, and looks forward to the future cooperation in more areas of in-depth cooperation between the two universities. Marut Tangwattanachuleeporn said that Oriental University attaches great importance to the cooperation with CCU and looks forward to in-depth cooperation between the two universities in more fields in the future, so as to cultivate talents with international vision and innovative ability.

The International Office pointed out that Oriental University, founded in 1955, is one of the most promising public universities in the eastern region of Thailand. Located in Chonburi province on the southeast coast, Oriental University is the first institution of higher learning in the region, with 50 bachelor's degree programs, 30 master's degree programs, and three doctoral degree programs, and with students from more than 50 countries and regions around the globe, making it a very internationalized university.

The International Affairs Office explained that under the matchmaking of Professor Emeritus of Chemical Engineering Lee Wen-chien, CCU has established a cooperative relationship with Eastern University since 2019 by visiting the university and signing a memorandum of inter-university cooperation. After the signing of the memorandum of understanding, the two universities have not only exchanged research experiences, but also sent Thai students to the Faculty of Science for short-term internships, which has helped to maintain the friendship between the two institutions through repeated exchanges and cooperation. While the previous MOU was more in favor of cooperation with the Faculty of Science, this time it is a university-wide agreement with more international exchanges with other faculties.

The renewal of this MOU signifies a long-term partnership between the two institutions, and we look forward to exploring new areas of cooperation in addition to those in the Chemical Engineering, Geo-Environmental Sciences, and Biomedical Sciences Departments in the future. We look forward to contributing to the global academic community through joint efforts to promote academic exchanges between Taiwan and Thailand, and to build the cornerstone of deepening and sustainable cooperation.

2019 National Chung University Social Responsibility and Sustainability Report page 18 highlight the following event as our Partnerships to achieve the SDGs.

This project is a Taiwan-Japan cooperation agreement with the Japanese Nara ELYSION Group. To set up its first demonstration base in Chiayi County within three years is the priority. A residential building for the elderly, a joint clinic, a senior learning base, a daycare center, a health care center, and an age-friendly product exhibiting area will all be included in one unit. Moreover, we aim to provide a solution to the long-term care issues for the elderly with the medical care experience from Japan and the teaching resource from CCU. And give the aged people to have a healthier and happier life.
