In 2020, we cooperated with placemaking promotion teams, including "Alishan Township Tourism Industry", "Zhuqi Township Tourism Industry", "Fanlu Township Tourism Industry" and "bamboo waste reuse" in Chiayi County. We worked with the local government to find the vision of placemaking and implement the content of the placemaking industry. We will also participate in the development of the local bamboo industry in Nantou County. National Chung Cheng University Office of Research and Development serves as a window of contacting with the local government and meets with the local community from time to time. Through continuous meetings, the university understands the needs of the local community and lets the local community know about the university's academic expertise so that the best performing team can be selected to plan placemaking projects. In the future, there will be more related projects, such as "The Old House in Dounan: Green Living Cycle and Community Co-prosperity", " Human Rights for the Disadvantaged, Law, Rule of Law - Temple Front, Caring Actions in Hospitals", "Your turn to be an international celebrity: Local Marketing Innovation Project for Women in Remote Areas", and "When I hold the Hand of a Grandma: Local Care and Co-living Project for Youth and the Elderly", which are ready to be launched. Since 2020, we have been actively working with the Chiayi County Government to help the tourism industry in Zhuqi Township to revitalize the Guanyin Waterfall. The Vice Mayor of Chiayi County, Wu Rong-Hui, took our students of the Department of Business Administration to Guanyin Falls to conduct a field survey. Until 2020, CCU assisted in the completion of the placemaking project - Zhuqi Township - to recreate the beauty of the Guanyin falls. At present, the project has been submitted to the Zhuqi Township Office for application and preparation before the placemaking proposal. In the same year, our school signed a cooperation agreement with the Yunlin County Government on April 14, and moved into the "Dounan Youth and the Elderly Coexistence Base", which was officially opened in July! In addition to planning target crops for the nutritional needs of senior citizens, the base will also help middle-aged and senior citizens explore new career development after retirement. By promoting the sharing of resources and cooperation between the university and the public sector, we can achieve the goal of youth and the Elderly co-living life services. As for the future exit mechanism of the above-mentioned projects, our school will move toward the direction of guiding local areas to establish "social enterprises" or "cooperatives". In other words, after the local area receives support, our team will turn to play the role of "mentoring", exchanging and co-prospering with each other, and developing a sustainable companionship.
