Self-help, Mutual Help, Help All and Non-discrimination: A Pilot Project on Building up a Happy Community with Ageing Friendly and Intergenerational Solidarity

The project takes students to places in the Shijiao Community, Shijiao Village, Zhongpu Township, Chiayi County, Shijiao Village, Shijiao Village, Donggang Community, Budai Town, Donggang Community. Teachers lead students into rural communities to plan for mutual solidarity between different generations in the experiential courses. In the Shijiao community and Donggang community, through the elders’ life stories that are recorded and saved digitally, it presents the moving fragments of each elder’s life, bringing out the community’s ancient working life and local culture, thereby focusing the operation for the BuDai Donggang community and ShiPu community of Zhongbu and find out a feasible plan for implementing age-friendliness and promoting mutual solidarity between different generations. The DongGang community is where the annual CaiTou Cultural Season is held. This event combines community elders’ life story theatre performances, rural market stalls, parent-child activities, campfire evenings, radish cultivation, local agricultural flavoured meals and other activities to promote community agricultural products. This event also aimed to improve the visibility of the community, inherit the tangible and intangible culture of the community.

Taiwan-India Innovation Living Lab on Bamboo Technology
SABF has signed an MOU with National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan for a strategic Collaboration agreement on 6th August 2019 the main purpose of this agreement is to enable and facilitate the development of education and innovation of bamboo and bamboo technology from Taiwan and India and also in South Asia.
