CCU CSR University Lecture Series

<b>This activity is one of the CCU commitments to promote SDGs education.</b> <p></p> The highest academic for university students to pursue knowledge is also a cradle for cultivating outstanding national talents; CSR University Lecture Series hopes that many fresh students can cultivate the concept of sustainable development and deepen relevant capabilities during their student period or the in-service professional research stage of the public. After graduating or entering the workplace after further studies, they can immediately play and continue to promote SDGs. Related activities will cooperate with various NGOs to launch a series of themes:<p> <b>CSR University Lecture Series [The distance between us and sustainability]:</b><br> For you, can sustainability be not only a distant concept, but also a touching story? In the CSR University Lecture Series hosted by Chung Cheng University and Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE). <b>In order to provide opportunities for cross-departmental dialogue on sustainable development goals, CCU established a teacher community and organized related training activities. </b><p></p> The theme of this event: <b>How to achieve the "United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)" through the operation of the University Social Responsibility Program</b>Speaker: Dr. Jian Youxin, Chairman of TAISE, Chairman /Dr. Wenhong Liu, Director of the Ocean Affairs Research Center, National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology<p></p> This event was assisted by our school’s USR-"Planting, Crystallization, Sublimation-Science Education Promotion Program for Primary and Secondary Schools in Yunjia Region" team to assist in the 109 annual university social responsibility community operation and teacher training activities, and invited Nanhua University to cooperate with Teachers and colleagues from Chiayi University participated together.

World School Cross-Cultural Teaching and Communication

The project “World School Cross-Cultural Teaching and Communication” trained foreign students to cultivate cross-cultural communication and teaching expertise, as well as receive teaching qualifications. We matched the disadvantaged or remote primary and secondary schools near by the University, and dispatch suitable candidates according to the needs of the school. Through the implementation of this project, foreign students of our school have access to the educational practice, and reduce the inequality problem of educational resources allocation between urban and rural areas.

Prof. Tsung-Sheng Liao, Searching for Certainty from Uncertainty: Revisiting ACESA’s Regulations on Carbon Capture and Storage

To promote UN SDG 13 goal for,Inform and support local or regional government in local climate change disaster or risk early warning and monitoring,National Chung Cheng University has worked on the following research. <p></p>The essay discusses the three regulations of the U.S. Energy and Security Act on carbon capture and storage. It explains how to regulate carbon capture and storage to promote carbon capture and storage in our country. Furthermore, finding out the established legislative model can be extended as a reference for other environmental legislation for Taiwan.
