Energy Conservation in Government Agencies and Schools for Affordable and Clean Energy
To promote UN SDG 7 goal for,Have a process for carbon management and reducing carbon dioxide emissions, National Chung University has implemented the following policy. <p></p>Our school cooperated with the government to implement the ""Government Agency and School Energy Conservation Action Plan"" (plan period: 2016 ~ 2019) in phases. The plan took 2015 as the base period to increase the overall power consumption efficiency by 4% in 2019. As of 2019, the annual total electricity consumption had decreased by approximately 9.12% compared with 2015, and the CO2 reduction was 1,520,670kg [2,853,095 degrees (the total annual electricity consumption reduction as of 2019 based on 2015) * 0.533 (electricity emission factor in 2018: kg CO2e/degree)].

Environmental Ethics from the Viewpoint of Green Industry for Climate Action
To promote UN SDG 13 goal for,Provide local education programmes or campaigns on climate change risks, impacts, mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning, National Chung University has implemented the following policy. <p></p>This course aims to make students understand that from the perspective of environmental technology, it is necessary to consider the principle of human production and lifestyles should not exceed environmental tolerance as interpreted by sustainable development and to minimize the consumption of energy and other resources. Besides, the "green industry" is what we are focus on, and it is a green living environment that includes renewable energy, solar photovoltaics, clean production, and energy-saving industries.

Energy-Saving Achievements for Affordable and Clean Energy

In 2018-2019, the investment funds of campus power supply transformer load rate increase and energy-saving improvement project were 18,369,372 (in thousand TMD) 2. In 2018, the investment funds of sports center high-efficiency heat pump hot water energy saving improvement project were 5,281.869 (in thousand TMD) 3. In 2017, sports center air conditioning and energy management system energy-saving performance assurance project were 18,415.2 (in thousand TMD) 4. In 2016, replacing library lighting with energy saving performance contracts (ESCO) were 15,617.694 (in thousand TMD) 5. In 2015-2015, the renewal project loop line and transformer increase load rate improvement project were 17,435.039 (in thousand TMD) 6. Fuel Consumption Reduction for Affordable and Clean Energy
To promote UN SDG 7 goal for,Undergo energy reviews to identify areas where energy waste is highest, National Chung University has implemented the following policy. <p></p>In line with the four-saving plan, with 2007 as the base period, the school oil saving rate from 2008 to 2015 reached 17%. At this stage, the goal is to maintain zero growth in oil consumption between 2017 and 2020 compared with 2015.

Future Energy Saving Plan for Affordable and Clean Energy
To promote UN SDG 7 goal for,Promote a pledge toward 100% renewable energy, National Chung University has implemented the following policy. <p></p>The school had cooperated with the government to implement the "Government Agency and School Energy Conservation Operation Plan" (2016 ~ 2019) and has continued to carry out related energy-saving projects to achieve the planned goals. In addition, the R506 classroom solar power demonstration teaching facility of our school joint classroom building, which was “the 1.5 kW solar power demonstration facility” was completed on October 7, 2019. The power generation data can be uploaded to the cloud data collector and integrated with various data such as wind and solar hybrid street light power generation data. The electricity generated by this device is converted into alternating current for the R506 classroom. Smart meters have been installed on May 29, 2020. Soils and Environmental Ecology for Climate Action
To promote UN SDG 13 goal for,Provide local education programmes or campaigns on climate change risks, impacts, mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning, National Chung University has implemented the following policy. <p></p>The field-based course intends to introduce soil morphologies and their ecologic functions to students. Some simple survey methods of soil were also taught to students and implemented by students themselves. Thus, the relationship between soils and climatic changes is revealed, and to be the main teaching purpose through these field-based teaching activities in this course.

Sustainable Procurement for Affordable and Clean Energy

Measures for authorities to prioritize the purchase of environmental protection products, and resource recycling method. Since 2015, the green procurement ratio has reached the EPA green procurement performance target of 90% every year, and the management effect has been excellent.
