<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">Our school positively promotes academic development and enhance the quality of research level to accomplish the goal of outstanding academic performance. And it mainly encourages our full-time teachers and researchers to apply for out-of-school awards, which can further affirm our academic research results, the ability to research and the influences on the society.</span><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">Under collaboration of our students and teachers, in 2019, our school received 40 different awards outside the school!</span></p>

National Chung Cheng University and Yunlin County Government optimize the Dounan Reciprocal Hub for Old and Young
National Chung Cheng University (CCU) and Yunlin County Government formally signed a cooperation agreement. Through resource sharing and cooperation between the academic and public sectors, the Dounan Reciprocal Hub for Old and Young will be built into the best demonstration base that meets the needs of the elderly society.
The Promotion of Senior Citizens Learning
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">Since 2008, Ministry of Education authorizes Center for Innovative Research on Aging Society (CIRAS) of CCU to do the program of Senior Citizens Learning Advisory Group Plan based on implemented experiences, which takes the initiative to have senior citizens learning as a positive Care Policy. The initiative aims to prevent the elderly (age above 55) and the pre-elderly (from age 45 to age 54) from negative ageing and forward-learning. With the help of learning in advance for the elderly, we believe that the negative impacts caused by ageing, such as the weakening personal health, the lower quality of family living, and the barrier or burden on Taiwan finance can be relieved greatly.</span></p>
CCU Advanced Teaching
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">In order to provide an advanced and intelligent teaching environment for teachers and students, we established various special laboratories and digital course recording areas, etc. So as to continue to complete the teaching assistant systems, we push the education in AI, program language, robot self-learning, and innovation start-up business, etc. to fully complete intelligence teaching and learning system as well as to create the areas that suit for teaching and learning. Meanwhile, our school encourages teachers to form interdisciplinary professional groups (e.g. MOOCs courses, digital and online materials, VR teaching materials) and to employ innovative teaching methods (e.g. problem-based learning, communicative language teaching, and flipped teaching) to promote quality of teaching. Besides the professional knowledge learning in departments, we cultivate students to be capable in main abilities, innovated in entrepreneurship and career development potential by providing students complete general education, multiple foreign language courses, and the courses like implementation, topic subject, and fieldwork.</span></p>
Extension Education Training Results
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">Ching Jiang Learning Center is committed to promoting lifelong learning for adults, adopting learner-centred teaching features. According to different age groups and market needs, we design competency-oriented and future-oriented various training and growth courses and provide multiple and flexible training channels, including credit classes, non-credit classes, labour promotion, and government-commissioned courses.</span></p>
Long-term Energy Saving Measures
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">1. Build a rainwater </span><span style="color:hsl(0,0%,0%);">recycling </span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">system to collect rainwater and use it for irrigation and flushing water after appropriate treatment.</span><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">2. Purchase non-frequency conversion air-conditioning and require an energy-saving controller (the lowest temperature is 26℃, automatic power-off in 3 hours).</span><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">3. Establish a campus electricity and water resources monitoring system to effectively grasp the real-time water and electricity situation and records of the whole school. Furthermore, the addition of pipeline flowmeters in the campus water pipeline network area can speed up the judgment of water leakage and shorten the repairing time.</span></p>
Sewage Disposal
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">CCU has the perfect sewage treatment plant to deal with water resource and utilization. The sewage produced from campus has gone through activated sludge method process and reach the sewage emission standard of Environmental Protection Administration. The treated effluent does not only replenish the tranquil lake of the school but is also used for the cleaning of the sludge machine in the factory or watering flowers, plants and trees. Water resources are properly used to achieve environmental sustainability. The maximum daily water treatment capacity is about 2,000 tons. School Life sewage and laboratory washing wastewater are treated to maintain the normal flow of domestic sewage. Laboratory washing wastewater discharge pipelines and pipelines are regularly maintained. And in addition, implement the treatment and reuse of wastewater.</span></p>
Energy Management Committee Operation Plan
<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">The school set up an energy management committee, with the vice president serving as the chairman, taking responsibility for the implementation of:</span><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">(1) Formulating an energy verification system.</span><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">(2) Setting energy conservation goals and implementing plans.</span><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">(3) Formulating energy conservation methods.</span><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">(4) Setting energy conservation standards (benchmarks).</span><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">(5) Formulating business such as energy conservation promotion, and implementing campus energy conservation work.</span></p>
